Body Series

This series emerged from the question of how much a body can tell when everything distracting is removed. No colour. No background. No context. What remains is skin, muscle, posture and the tension between them.

Each work takes several weeks. Graphite is applied in thin layers, blended and built up again. This slowness is part of the work: it asks for a gaze that looks more closely than the first.
